Description

Help your class members move safely, build confidence and support better bone health.

Osteoporosis is far more common than many people realise. Around 1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men over 50 will have a fracture due to osteoporosis, yet many class members may not know they have low bone density or may not have received a diagnosis.

This CPD gives instructors the knowledge and confidence to understand osteoporosis, recognise why fracture prevention matters, and adapt exercises safely for older adults. You’ll explore which movements need extra care, how to support strength, balance and posture, and how exercise can play an important role in helping people stay active, steady and independent.

The CPD also covers practical nutrition and lifestyle tips to support better bone health, giving instructors useful information they can share appropriately within scope.

This is an essential CPD for instructors who want to feel confident supporting class members with diagnosed osteoporosis, suspected low bone density or concerns about fracture risk.
