What is the #60secondchallenge?
We all know we need to sit less and move more, but it’s easier said than done! So, we want everyone to take part in our challenge. All you need is a chair, one minute and a little determination.
See how many times you can get up from your chair in 60 seconds. Then, challenge yourself, just a minute a day, to see if you can improve your score over the next 6 weeks.

Why take part?
Sitting is a killer! In fact, sedentary behaviour is responsible for more deaths in the UK than smoking. Global studies show we now sit for, on average, almost 7.7 hours days, with some people found to be sitting for up to 15 hours day.
But, we also know that people who take more breaks from sitting throughout the day have slimmer waists, lower BMIs and healthier blood fat and sugar levels.
